Artist Name is known for paintings that evidence her great love of color. She was also an accomplished painter of early American landscapes.

Artist Name was born in San Francisco, California on October 2, 1925. She left home at age eighteen to work as a magazine editor in fashion magazines. While in that capacity, she acquainted himself with every detail of artwork that went into the magazine. Her desire to paint took her to New York where she studied with abstract painting.

Following her father's desire to travel, she made many trips across the United States. Two years were spent in Chicago where she began to earn her living as an artist by painting designs on furniture. Destitute, she made her way back to San Francisco in 1950.

After her return to her native city, she began working as a full time artist. There she supported herself for seven years designing ads while painting abstract expressionist paintings on weekends.

Known for paintings that evidence her great love of pure bold colors, Artist’s name did work that includes landscapes and oceanscapes.
